Colossus Design is an independent design, creative and strategy company. We believe in the beautiful marriage of art and commerce. And in the power of constructive tension. By articulating a brand’s purpose through provocative art and design, we work to craft meaningful connections and accelerate business growth.
Our work is featured in the permanent collection of the Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum and has been honored by Graphis, D&AD, Print, Communication Arts, Type Directors Club, Metropolis, the Dieline and others.
We are the internal design wing of the integrated ad agency Colossus.
Process:
+ 1. Discovery & Strategy
We build a forensic understanding of the product, category and culture around your brand. We then use that information to formulate a strategic approach.
+ 2. Creative Brief
Building our narrative based on the discovery phase, we craft a design brief that outlines the journey ahead and serves as the foundation for evaluating all work moving forward.
+ 3. Exploration
We start with moodboards, swipe and found imagery to build examples of potential visual directions. Together, we select one for further refinement and execution.
+ 4. Design
We roll up our sleeves, sharpen our pencils and begin to execute. This is where the rubber meets the road and all design deliverables come to life.
+ 5. Execution & Production
We polish, refine and version out the finished product.
We are systematic, but never formulaic. We love an organized process, but remain flexible enough to accommodate the unique needs of each client.
